Wow, this really does seem like exactly like what you get when every decision is based on marketing rather than creativity. Nothing is wrong with any of it per se, but it lacks any sign of inspiration. It's just generic ideas cut-and-pasted together any old how. The dialog is so cringe because it's not telling us anything about the character of the situation that isn't painfully obvious. Even the magical cuff's Jarvis voice couldn't have been less original. The graphics look good, characters look okay and reasonably compelling, but their New York feels kinda bland and lackluster, and the fantasy world is basically the same, just like something an AI would come up with if given no other prompt than "fantasy world."

I'd say that's a fair. I'd personally call it a 5/10. The main character is very unlike able, and it feels like there's a chapter missing from the game, because the last few pieces of diologue feel so out of nowhere. "I don't want to save a world that doesn't meant me here!" when they're LITERALLY begging her to stay and save them. "why can't I do anything I want for once!" throughout the game she has done nothing but what she's wanted. She hasn't been forced to do anything by anyone. The difficulty also seems a bit questionable, since the hardest difficulty I think only changes the amount of health the enemy has. Bosses have like, 2-3 different attacks. It feels like we're playing a game that isn't finished yet

When I saw gameplay a while back I knew I was never going to play this. The dialogue was so bad.

Someone actually said that you can turn the dialogue off or reduce it. That’s pathetic. If that is an option they must have known people were going to be annoyed by the corny dialogue.

I think we should give props for releasing a game that is actually complete and not full of bugs. It's also not full of micro-transactions with a strong single player campaign. Yeah it's only a middling game and the fun sort of runs out, but poor dialog isn't a disaster of a game. It's just not that strong, but overall still seems to be pretty OK.
