Ultimate Doom Walkthrough - E1M5: Phobos Lab - Here is the sixth level of Knee Deep in the Dead: Phobos Lab. The difficulty is starting to ramp up now, but still isn't too bad. Just be careful of all the sergeants and imps, along with the trap doors past the yellow door. The source port used was ZDoom. This is the full unlooped version of this track, a looped version can be found among my other Doom/Doom 2 tracks on my website: 🤍 A track I made in 2005, most of the orchestral stuff you hear are a bunch of soundfonts meticulously put together just for this track. If you're a synth geek like me you may recognize the glistening Roland D-50 preset "Devildom", I rarely use presets on synths but this sound worked well in the track so it stayed. The big bass pad however is a patch I made on the Access Virus KB synth. Originally composed by the one and only; Bobby Prince
My playthrough of E1M5 (Phobos Lab) of The Ultimate Doom for the PC on the Ultra-Violence difficulty. Played through GLBoom+, getting 100% Kills and 100% Secrets.
Doom is one of the most widely ported video games in the first-person shooter genre. Starting with the original MS-DOS PC version (released as shareware on December 10, 1993), it has been released officially for a number of computer operating systems, video game consoles, handheld game consoles, and other devices. Some of the ports are replications of the MS-DOS version, while others differ considerably, including modifications to the level designs and monsters, with some ports offering content not included in the original MS-DOS version. After Doom's source code was released to the public on December 23, 1997, several source ports were created by fans to allow the original PC version to run on modern operating systems. On April 30, 1995, an upgraded version of the game, The Ultimate Doom, was released, which contained an additional fourth episode, "Thy Flesh Consumed", in addition to the original three episodes. KNEE-DEEP IN THE DEAD: Knee-Deep in the Dead is the first episode in Doom/Ultimate Doom, and the only episode in the shareware version. The episode takes place in the UAC installations on Phobos, one of the moons of Mars. Designed mainly by John Romero, the levels have a unique graphical style characterized by extensive use of STAR textures, large amounts of highly saturated brown and green in general, and a misty, mountainous skyline. Because of Episode 1's singular inclusion in the Doom shareware version, the Episode 1 style levels have become one of the most popular and easily recognizable Doom design themes. Fan-made levels utilizing exclusively Episode 1 textures, and often emulating Episode 1's play style, are commonly referred to as techbase levels. E1M5: Phobos Lab is the fifth map of Knee-Deep in the Dead in Doom. It was designed by John Romero and uses the music track "Suspense". The par time is 2:45 CREDITS Design: Shawn C. If you want to show your support for the music I create, why not buy me a coffee to help keep me energized and creating? 🤍 The following is my take on the iconic E1M5 piece of music from Doom originally composed by Bobby Prince. I wanted to give it a very updated and cinematic sound concurrent with what is heard in action films today. Epic stuff :) This piece is available on the following licensed compilation album: GAME OVER - Computer Games Orchestrated A computer gaming cover album featuring music from 12 classic PC games! Game: Ultimate Doom Map:e1m5 - Phobos Lab Category: Nightmare 100% secrets Executable: Doom.exe Time: 2:20 An old former Compet-N record, looks very workmanlike to me now. Speeding through you're beset at all times, but at least respawns aren't a problem. Video captured using Fraps 2.9.4 from Glboom-plus 22.214.171.124
Ultimate Doom E1M5 my gameplay video. This is a new Compet-N record which means a official world record. Game: Ultimate Doom IWAD: Doom Skill: Ultra-Violence Time: 2:22 Map: E1M5 Name: Phobos Lab Category: UV-Max (100% kills and 100% secrets) I boldly changed the use of rockets from the previous record. First of all, I thought it was not effective to use one rocket for destroying a barrel from an outside area where there was a soul sphere. Next, I thought a few rockets should be used in a computer room, then I altered the number of rockets for use between a computer room and a circular room after yellow key's door little by little, but wasting a few seconds for changing weapons was not ignorable. As a result, I used the most of the rockets in the computer room. It was probably more effective than the previous one. Trying various routes was pretty interesting. The circular room considerably depended on luck. The elevator's timing did not match easily when I escaped from the room even if I cleared enemies quickly. One or two enemies also were left frequently and 100 kills were missed many times. I played it with an original doom.exe for Compet-N's official rule and captured the play data using Prboom-plus v126.96.36.199.

The Ultimate Doom is one of the most influential PC games of all time. It takes inspiration from the movies Aliens and Evil Dead II, as well as a D&D campaign the developers were playing at the time where the world was threatened with an invasion by the forces of hell. You play the role of one of Earth's most hardened marines who has been imprisoned on Mars. The people there are experimenting with interdimensional travel when something goes wrong and the bases are overrun with interdimensional monsters. You're the only one left who can stop them. Development for Doom began in 1992, just as the Spear of Destiny was being finished. Doom was released for PC in 1993, with the updated version, The Ultimate Doom with an additional episode, being released a couple of years later in 1995. Walkthrough: 🤍 BitChute: 🤍

SUPPORT / DONATE: 🤍 So, I felt like sticking pretty close to the original on this one. I made some small changes to the arrangement here and there. I feel like all the strings and choir stuff really helped build up to the guitar outro towards the end! On a side note, the music pack/mod for Knee-Deep In The Dead is almost done! Just two more songs to go! So expect E1M6 and E1M7 in the next couple of weeks. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the cover! ~DAR MP3 DOWNLOAD: 🤍 Next DOOM Cover: "E1M6 - On The Hunt": 🤍 Previous DOOM Cover: "E1M3 - The Dark Halls": 🤍 Mod page and MP3 Packs DOWNLOAD: 🤍 Doomworld Thread: 🤍 - Make sure to Like, Share, and Subscribe if you enjoyed! not sure why there's so much static on this one, i tried re-recording it multiple times to no avail. anyway, recorded directly from the LINE-OUT port of a sb2910 Soundblaster card inside a i486 machine FLAC download of entire album coming soon
Secrets 04:02 04:53 Rekkr is a total conversion for VANILLA Doom by Revae that switches it into a viking/pagan adventure with creepy creatures and completely changed monsters and weapons... by using Dehacked trickery only. Outstanding stuff! I'm using GzDoom here with my usual settings, but it works under Chocolate Doom! - Rekkr es una Total Conversion para Doom VANILLA creada por Revae, que lo convierte en una aventura pagano/vikinga con criaturas malrrolleras y armas y monstruos completamente cambiados... usando tan solo triquiñuelas de Dehacked.
