Rajasthani Henna powder (the type of powder I use) is made from the leaves of the henna tree so naturally the powder is nice and green. Some powders can be darker green or lighter. And when mixed with lemon juice the paste can look bright green as well. For water mixes the paste can look more greenish brown. Lighting also plays a factor into how green fresh paste looks. In any case, this paste when applied on the skin still stains skin reddish brown despite the paste looking green. So this isn’t “green henna” per se.
