Okay folks. Here comes a super duper special one. I told you I’m gonna bring some special Audis to the channel this year. This one hits one right in the feels. My next star in my ”Audi Legends” series is the absolutely gorgeous and mint icon, the Audi RS6 C5 Avant. This is a car with so much soul, and has a special place in many Audi and automotive fans around the world. I hope also that I will teach some young Audi fans about the history and heritage of the four rings. Let me first tell you, that the so cool owner of this car, actually is connected to my own RS4 B5 Avant in a special way. When he was looking to buy a newer RS a few years ago, he came across my ”Living with your ultimate dreamcar - Audi RS4 B5 Avant” video here on YouTube. After seeing that, he was so taken by the way I talked about an ”old” car, with such a huge passion and the story behind it, he started himself thinking of maybe getting an older RS. That changed his mind, and the way of thinking, that older cars just have so much more soul. I bet he can write his story down here in the comments in a better way, but for me personally it’s the best compliment I can get, when a person says that he owns a car because of me. Echter was er 1 probleem; nieuwe RS6 C8 klonk als een stofzuiger.. Overdreven? Nee, toen die net uitkwam was het een waar drama, zeker in vergelijk met de vorige Audi RS6! De Audi RS6 C7 Performance stond erom bekend dat die fantastisch klonk, het kabaal uit het uitlaatsysteem, maar dat het verder een logge auto was. De nieuwe Audi RS6 verandert alles, een 600pk hot hatch zou je bijna zeggen, maar nu met de magische update; klinkt het ook nog super! Benieuwd naar het resultaat? Super FAST Autobahn acceleration & Launch Control with one of the last RS6 Performance built! This ROCKET has 605 hp & 750 Nm of torque...plus the marvelous Audi Sport (Akrapovic) exhaust. Finally. Finally. Finally. Let me repeat that again: FINALLY. Here is the new 2023 RS6 Avant Performance. After years of begging from the people for Audi to release a more powerful version of the RS6, it’s finally here. At the Audi Performance Days in event in Spain last week, for the media and all, I was one of the chosen ones to get a first glimpse of the new RS6 Performance and RS7 Performance. Normally they were supposed to be shot in a studio, but after asking nice, Audi let me take them out on the Circuito Monteblanco track, so at least I could snap some shots and videos in proper daylight. The new Performance models have 30hp more power (630) and 50Nm more torque (850). Not only that, they are lighter. The official acceleration time is 0.2seconds faster down to 3.4 seconds, which for sure means 3.2 seconds in real life. More of everything changed in the new car in the info below. Enjoy! Car: 2023 Audi RS6 Avant Performance (C8) - 630hp/850nm/627lbft/441kw - V8 4.0 TwinTurbo Mild Hybrid Performance: 0-100kmh(62mph): 3.4sec (official), Top Speed: 305km/h Color: Available in 16 different colors Power: Thanks to larger turbocharges, the boost goes up from 2.4 to 2.6 bar Weight reduction: Thanks to reduced insulation between the engine compartment, the interior and the rear of the car, it is 8kg/17lbs lighter.
