GOOD LUCK! things I did before this, updated windows, and all my drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the game.. repair/verify...after HOURS of frustration trying to play this game I finally figured out how to get it to run. I keep the video SHORT, and show me booting the game before (with error) and after the fix. And then THE ACTUAL FIX which is really simple. I hope it helps you! Go to C: users... YOUR USER NAME APP DATA - CD PROJECT RED - CYBERPUNK 2077 \ then delete the USER INFO FILE and you're good to go. I made a desktop shortcut to the folder because you have to delete that file before every bootup. Doing this method I have been able to keep save games. but i found that it's best to not mess with the game settings. This issues started recently, around June 9th to June 11th 2023. The crash happens during the log in screen after selecting your file and just before it would load you into game. Often with a pop up stating - An exception has occurred while creating the logger: rotating_file_sink: failed renaming D: (then will give the location for where said permission error occurred) The issue seem to be a small change made to the games launcher or REDmod launcher. And it is currently causing an conflict with one of Cyberpunk 2077's main frame work mods, RED4ext.
