I show U a method to determine the Key and Scale of a song. Although i am aware of the fact that the shown method is not 100% waterproof, considering a song can be in a different Scale than Major or Natural Minor , most of the times this method is succesful in my experience. Beware: it takes listening practise, to use this method. But.. the more you apply this method, the faster you can (mostly correctly) determine a song's Key&Scale. It's a really good method to train your musical ears ! EDIT: I got pointed out that officially, speaking of "Root" note is wrong in this video ; the better terminology would be "Tonic". :0) Reaper Theme used in this vid: 🤍

Using a noise gate of dynamic split can save you SO much time in you audio recording but as with all things voice over if you don't know what you are doing the it can ruin your voice over take your voice over audition and your reputation in voice over. So Reaper DAW version 6 is on the way, and the developers have made available the release candidate version 1, and here's a quick review on the new theme, and few features I encountered while checking this out, some color changes I liked especially the MIDI editor, and the TCP design is also looking good, while some stuff like main window track item coloring looks like a Cubase feel or maybe its just the 'used to' feel of default 5 theme over all these years, and ya the plugin display in TCP/MCP thing also has that Cubase feel (there's a new script which can be used to modify colors and Item/window behaviour, do search in action list for 'default theme adjuster' ) maybe the devs could just add a channel strip instead of that , again not sure what will come in main releases, but still no decent Synth/drum machine/sampler shipped, installation remains at 10mb, and the lack of eye candy instruments and effects will keep potential new user ends up using other DAW eventhough Reaper is the best DAW out there now About license, if you bought version 5.xxx then your license is valid till 6.999 as reaper gives two major version for single license, but if you bought 4.xxx version you will need to buy a new license for those who want to try it out, (do make a separate installation) here's the link 🤍
